A little about me
I once read somewhere that you are the sum of all your experiences. I can truly appreciate that statement. I have so many blessings in my life that have come to me through many of my life lessons. I also like to remember that God isn't finished with me. Although, I am now a very proud grandmother and getting closer to my retirement years, I still continue to learn so much each day that enriches my life. Blogging is one example. I have never considered myself a good writer and agonize over writing a simple thank you note. So this will be an attempt at overcoming that insecurity. Please be patient with me. So, here is a little about me: First and foremost, I thank God for my family. My husband and I have four daughters, four granddaughters and one new grandson. I am also grateful for my mother, my sister, and my niece. Small family, but huge blessings! Secondly, I am grateful that God has given me a 28 year career in education - from Math teacher to homebound teacher to technology coordinator to assistive technology project director. I called my blog "Act II" because I feel that I am now beginning the next stage of my life. I earned my real estate license four years ago and am enjoying helping people with one of their most important decisions of buying or selling their homes. Hopefully, I'll be blessed with many more years to enjoy this new opportunity. Lastly, I'll share my favorite past times. I LOVE computers, technology, home decor and fashion. Shopping is often my therapy. My plans for this evening include going to Rhythms on the River (listening to music in the common area of one of our local neighborhoods) and visiting with our family and friends. Afterwards, we will enjoy dinner out at one of the many great restaurants our town has to offer. Another blessing I'm thankful for - living in Lafayette, LA!
